Marcia’s Whole Wheat Nutty Bread

Story

I wasn’t sure what to say when I walked in the door and this was sitting on our kitchen island. then I came to… and the first thing that came to mind was, “where’s the butter?”  The answer: on the counter of course where any respectable southern woman would keep it. heart preferred hers with a smear of nutella for dessert. Big surprise!

Ingredients

dry ingredients

1 cup flour
1.25 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup combined (flax seeds, chopped walnuts, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, and poppy seeds)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 packet yeast
1 tsp salt

wet ingredients

1 cup water
1/3 cup yogurt
2 tbsp butter

Recipe

Preheat oven to 400. Heat wet ingredients to 120 degrees and add it to the dry ingredients. Add more flour until it forms a ball. Knead for 4 minutes. Put into a loaf pan, cover and let rise for 1 hour. Bake for minutes and cool on wire rack.
